Cell salts are excellent for improving the health of the youngest and the oldest, and all the in- between. I say that because cell salts are a very good way to improve mineral levels that are needed for growth in children, and the declining absorption that takes place in aging. They also benefit anyone that has experienced illness, poor diet, poor nutrition, and stress. Minerals are needed for healthy bones, organs, hormones, nerves, muscles, fluids, and skin.
Some people become interested in the cell salts because they can improve their beauty, tightening up wrinkles and erasing dark circles under the eyes. In fact, many practitioners use the face, along with symptoms, to determine which cell salts could benefit a person. There are so many ways to improve your health using cell salts.
I first got interested in cell salts when I read they could improve my skin. I had experienced a period of intense digestive problems for a few years before I found out that I am gluten sensitive. After this I was still fairly young to have what looked like several “liver” spots on my arms and later a freckle on my face that was changing in an unfavorable way. After using kali sulphate for a month directly on the freckle it disappeared. I also continued to take it internally and found that what looked like “liver” spots went away. Since then I have used them for many purposes. They are great for restoring health and can also be preventative. One of my favorite tips is to use ferrum phos. 6x any time you have a scratchy throat to prevent a sore throat or cold.
The 12 basic cell salts are made from the 12 minerals that make up 99.9 percent of all the minerals used in the body. They were first used by homeopaths and doctors in the 1870’s. During this time period the first microscopes were used and doctors in Germany started recording the locations of mineral deposits in specific organs of the body. They also noticed the lack of these minerals in the bodies of diseased people. The first comprehensive book, An Abridged Manual for the Biochemical Treatment of Disease was published in English by Boericke and Tafel in1874, translated from a German Homeopathic Journal. Cell salts (also called tissue salts,) have since been used in many parts of the world.
